Time Goes Too Quickly

Today is our last day with John. The days have flown by and left us with a lot of nice memories. Tomorrow we head off very early to take him to the airport. Wallaby Scrub just won't be the same without him.

Weekend with 'The Boogz'

It was great to spend a couple of days with Mick and Zac.
The bonfire was lit Saturday evening - after a couple of false starts - and we enjoyed its heat into the early hours of Sunday morning.
The kids played spotlight chasey, shared jokes and riddles, competed in Age of Empires, spent stacks of time at the dams catching yabbies and water scorpians, throwing mud and generally getting very, very dirty.
There's a photo below of two mates at the bonfire. It was pretty obvious that these two could stir up a lot of mischief together and have a lot of fun doing so.
Brekky consisted of 2 kilos of bacon and many eggs along with coffee and cocoas.

Thanks for a good long weekend, boys! We hope you enjoyed Wallaby Scrub!

"Joe Blake"

We've had many sightings of red belly black snakes in our house block already this spring. This caused us a little worry. When I came back from town Friday I was welcomed with a chorus of "there's two dead red bellies in the yard!" It is somewhat of a relief to know at least these two won't be haunting our yard this summer.

John is holding the one found at the dam, only 30 metres from the house.
