Drip Drip

Before we left for the city last week, Josiah had a task. To work out a way to keep the chickens watered for three days. We have noticed that chickens are not too particular when it comes to keeping their water bowls clean. They like to walk in them and dirty the water very quickly. So... how were we to keep them in clean water for so many days?

Josiah worked it out. Using a large jerry can, he secured it to the roof of the chicken coop, opened the bottom lid to its first notch, but left the top lid tightly shut. This produced a constant drip, drip, drip into their bowl. Pretty clever, hey?!
